Dance ‘til You Drop at The Ridge Casino: DHLA review

So Tsogo Sun invited us to their Dj Fest on Friday the 30th of November. Fireworks were promised, fireworks were delivered

The event was well promoted, you could tell from the swelling crowd that word had spread. Kudos to Eclipse PR for inviting us. Media was treated with a night's stay at Stay Easy and complimentary meals were catered for by Cuban Coffee Co.

The Event

Very little distinction between the VIP section and the general access as people just didn't care. Well organised security, proper drinks and food sections. The sound could've been better though as it is the heart of the event. Nonetheless, the setup was proper, lighting, effects and all

Dj Lineup was a showstopper. Kings of the weekend did not disappoint, they sure know how to get the crowd going, which song to play and they swop roles seamlessly behind the decks.
Highlight was Dj Cubique's set, it was gonna be a mission to play directly after #KOTW.

That's where one shows their strength, never compromising, but able to real the crowd in. The crowd was starving for an old school Kwaito set just before his set, with age groups ranging from 18 - 35 years of age.

By the time Dj Shimza hit the decks, the crowd was ready, literally eating from the palm of his hand. You see Shimza is a genius, he has mastered those effects and he will club control you. Some of his tracks were brand spanking new, mashed up with old school accappelas, by the time you know it, its 3am?!

A good 3.5/5. Looking forward to another edition from @The Ridge Witbank. Go there if you want to see a crowd that is starved of great entertainment, go there for some wild December fun!!

Shout out to Mika Mbiza for making it happen

Happy Vibing folks!
